The doctor will examine your pet and a blood test will be run to check for any potential problems prior to scheduling your dental. By examining your pet prior to anesthesia, doing blood tests to check organ function, and using the safest anesthetic available, the risks of anesthesia are minimized. Your pet’s teeth are cleaned to remove plaque and tartar, and particular attention is given to “hidden” problems under the gum line. The teeth are then polished for a smooth finish. Your pet goes home the same evening with better-smelling breath, and more importantly a healthier and more comfortable mouth.

Canine and feline dental cleanings include a comprehensive exam, blood health screen, antibiotic injection, teeth cleanings (with anesthesia and a cardiac monitor), teeth polishing, hospitalization, and IV catheterization and fluids.
