Becky Goheen, Hospital Manager
I have always loved animals and thought it would be fulfilling to work with them. I originally joined the team at Poway Animal Hospital as a receptionist in 1990. After moving to Bend, Oregon for a year in 2011, my husband and I realized that San Diego was our home and I was very fortunate to again find a place at Poway Animal Hospital. The most rewarding part of my job is greeting clients, caring for pets and working with the Poway Animal Hospital staff. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, the beach, working in my garden, and of course spending time with my cocker spaniel Jenna.

I started at Poway Animal Hospital in 2002. It has been such an amazing experience. The doctors, staff, clients, and patients are all great to work with! I am a native of Poway, and am very active with my family, which is growing by the minute.

I absolutely love caring for animals, and I have five furry critters at home to keep me busy! In my free time I am an avid yoga practitioner and instructor, and I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors.
I graduated from Poway High in 2012, and am currently finishing up my transfer requirements at Mirama Community College. Poway Animal Hospital has been a huge influence in my respect and love for animals; I am forever grateful for their willingness to further educate me on animal health and wellness. In my free time, I have two cats and two pugs that keep me very busy.
I graduated from the San Diego Mesa Animal Health Technology Program in 2012. Even working 6 days a week in this field, there is never really a dull day, as long as you are doing what you love. I was born and raised in San Diego. I have a cat named Emmee, 2 leopard geckos, and a freshwater fish tank.
Ever since I was little I have always had a passion for animals. I was always taking stray pets home and I realized helping pets would be the career for me. The most rewarding part of my career is being able to help pets in need. I am currently enrolled in an RVT program at Penn and Foster.I have a teacup yorkie named Harley. I love to travel, volunteer and go to concerts; I love music.
I relocated to Southern California in August 2005. In 2006 I attended Pima Medical Institute, where I graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program. I have been working in the veterinary field ever since. In my spare time, I love hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family, which includes my pug, Jiro. I joined Poway Animal Hospital in June 2016. I am so happy to be a part of this amazing team!
I moved to San Diego in December of 2016 and I started working at Poway Animal hospital in January of 2017. I love all animals and have two fur babies of my own! In my free time I like to go hiking with my dogs and play volleyball.
I joined the team at Poway Animal Hospital in September 2017 and am thrilled to be working with such a knowledgeable and personable group of veterinary professionals. I love working with animals and look forward to learning more about veterinary care. In addition to working with animals, I have several of my own; I have two cats, a crazy Husky-German Shepherd puppy, and two horses!
I joined the Poway Animal Hospital family in November of 2017. Before coming here, I was a Veterinary Assistant for 7 years. My passion for animals came at the young age of 12 years old, when my aunt gave me a miniature dachshund. I cared for her as my own and she quickly became my best friend. She lived to be about 18 years old and I learned what it meant to care for an animal to the best of my ability. Later on in life, I decided that I wanted to help other people learn to care for their pets properly, so I went to Pima Medical Institute and received my certificate in veterinary assistance. I enjoy what I do each day and I continually strive to learn as much as I can about pet health care so I can spread my knowledge to others.
I joined the Poway Animal Hospital team in April of 2016 and am excited to continue learning about animal wellness. When not working, I enjoy hiking and volunteering for local animal shelters.

I came to Poway Animal Hospital in 2007 and normally like hanging out in the reception area or in the doctor's office. I enjoy sitting in chairs or my bed up front. I'm also very friendly and enjoying meeting new clients when they come in. Hopefully I'll see you on your next visit!
On June 17, 2010, I was found under a car with a very serious leg injury. I was only eight weeks old and had been injured for five days. I was VERY hungry and VERY skinny. My heroes at Poway Animal Hospital could not save my leg, but they saved my life! I have totally recovered now and live in a wonderful new home!
