Becky Goheen, Hospital Manager
I have always loved animals and thought it would be fulfilling to work with them. I originally joined the team at Poway Animal Hospital as a receptionist in 1990. After moving to Bend, Oregon for a year in 2011, my husband and I realized that San Diego was our home and I was very fortunate to again find a place at Poway Animal Hospital. The most rewarding part of my job is greeting clients, caring for pets and working with the Poway Animal Hospital staff. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, the beach, working in my garden, and of course spending time with my cocker spaniel Jenna.

I started at Poway Animal Hospital in 2002. It has been such an amazing experience. The doctors, staff, clients, and patients are all great to work with! I am a native of Poway, and am very active with my family, which is growing by the minute.
Jessica, Lead Technician Manager
I have been a member of the Poway Animal Hospital team since 2013. A San Diego native, I have been in the veterinary field for over 15 years. I absolutely love caring for animals, and I have five furry critters at home to keep me busy! In my free time I am an avid yoga practitioner and instructor, and I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors.
I’ve been working at Poway Animal Hospital since 2013 and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated every experience here. In my spare time, I’m studying, assisting research for a laboratory studying animal behavior, or trapping feral cats to be spayed and vaccinated.
I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and have worked in the animal field for 15 years. I aspire to go to vet school to become an equine vet. Me and my husband live with our very spoiled German Shepherd and two geckos.
I relocated to Southern California in August 2005. In 2006 I attended Pima Medical Institute, where I graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program. I have been working in the veterinary field ever since. In my spare time, I love hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family, which includes my pug, Jiro. I joined Poway Animal Hospital in June 2016. I am so happy to be a part of this amazing team!
I joined the Poway Animal Hospital family in November of 2017. Before coming here, I was a Veterinary Assistant for 7 years. My passion for animals came at the young age of 12 years old, when my aunt gave me a miniature dachshund. I cared for her as my own and she quickly became my best friend. She lived to be about 18 years old and I learned what it meant to care for an animal to the best of my ability. Later on in life, I decided that I wanted to help other people learn to care for their pets properly, so I went to Pima Medical Institute and received my certificate in veterinary assistance. I enjoy what I do each day and I continually strive to learn as much as I can about pet health care so I can spread my knowledge to others.
I’m a retired elementary school teacher and I have recently moved to California from Illinois with my new husband Tim. I have a rescue dog and a kitty I care for at home. In my spare time I like to stain glass and garden.
I’m originally from Santa Barbara County. I’ve worked in animal hospitals for over 4 years and couldn’t be happier with my experiences. In my free time, I enjoy creating art and spending time at the beach. At home, I have 1 dog and 2 kitties I care for.
I joined the Poway Animal Hospital team in April of 2016 and am excited to continue learning about animal wellness. When not working, I enjoy hiking and volunteering for local animal shelters.
I have always had a great passion working with animals. I have been showing and breeding Australian Shepherds professionally with my family for over 13 years and enjoy every second. My dream career is to become a veterinarian in the near future. I am currently attending Grossmont Community College and plan on transferring to a four-year after I finish my general education. I am incredibly grateful that Poway Animal Hospital is helping prepare me to accomplish my lifelong career dream. The best part about working with the Poway Animal Hospital team is being surrounded by great supportive people, learning new skills, and caring for animals. In my free time I am caring and loving my three Australian Shepherds.
I came to Poway Animal Hospital in 2007 and normally like hanging out in the reception area or in the doctor's office. I enjoy sitting in chairs or my bed up front. I'm also very friendly and enjoying meeting new clients when they come in. Hopefully I'll see you on your next visit!
